It seems to be a positive week for banks. At least once you get to speak to a real human being in one. The confirmation of my 'it's not so much a loan as an impossibly large overdraft' was waiting for me when I got home. So all I have to do now is check that my conditional offer has become unconditional, and pay up early to claim my 'before registration' fee discount.
