A few gardening photos

The below shows the patio half-scrubbed, and clearly shows why it needed doing!

And here is one of our azaleas, showing its appreciation of the warm spring:

And finally (insert fanfare) I present - Hoppity! Our toad (?) survived the winter and sat still long enough for me to get the camera!

Coo! That's a wonderful shot of Hoppity. It was very nice of him to stay still while you dashed off to fetch the camera. :-)

And I think you're safe assuming that he/she is a toad. Your phallic fountain doesn't really count as a garden 'pond'. *g*

I had a feeling Hoppity had survived because the plants were amazingly uneaten the last time I visited. Hoorah!

All three pictures are amazing
- definitely worth finding the energy to finish scrubbing the patio - maybe the weather will be good enough next time I visit so that we can have a joint effort!
- the azalea is very beautiful and I do like it's little friend...

You also have the added advantage of a nice walled garden in Bicester. With unkempt gardens on either side in TH we didn't stand a lot of hope really, especially with tree climbing snails - I'll never forget that tree!

Shame about the petunias, maybe they were too high for Hoppity to get the slugs. I've had slugs in plant pots from the garden centre before now so it's always possible that they arrived from there. I'm sure Hoppity would deal with anything he saw - it's the first time I've seen uneaten hostas in a while.
