Today I went to Reading for a meeting; turned out the person I was meeting was off sick, but it did mean I got to wander round the shops - ! Now the Mystery Pain in my heel, which I've had since I was last in Luton, is throbbing. Was Lush stuff worth it? Probably ... I was getting AWFULLY low on luxury bath stuff, not to mention their shampoo, which my hair really likes.
The saga of the iffy broadband connection has so far resulted in replacing the router, and then having to replace the card in my PC as it simply refused to talk to the new router. Different make ... shouldn't make a difference, but it did ... so there went another £100 ... Now I have a more-or-less consistent connection, except tonight when it refused to connect until I'd rebooted the computer three times. Ah, the wonders of science.
This does mean that at some unearthly hour last night I was watching the 'coming next week' on As The World Turns just so I could get a brief glimpse of Jeff. Let it not be said I don't support my actor, even when he has to go and do daytime soap to earn a living!!
A search for other stuff on his new role led me to reports of play in Oklahoma in February. If that really is *the* Jeffrey Meek in the cast playing Miss Deep South, I just wish I could have seen him in the "large brimmed organdy hat and ruffled evening dress'!!!
